Belgium is located in Western Europe and is flanked by superpowers such as Germany and France. The country has a total population of just over ten million people whose official languages are German, French and Dutch. Belgium is officially the heart of Europe and its strategic geographical location has made it a very modern and wealthy country. The country is at the centre of the worlds most industrialized regions and was one of the first countries to undergo an industrial revolution. Although it would not normally be known as one of Europe's top tourist hot spots, Belgium is rich with culture and history. It has an architecture that other cities should be jealous off and is the birthplace of a number of Europe's finest artists. But art and architecture are not the only reasons to visit this country. Its people are welcoming and are very prod of their heritage which they try to share to visitors. Belgium's scenery is also astonishing. Inland Belgium is covered in fertile valleys and hidden caves and gorges are common. It is worth driving around this small country to understand its true beauty. The area around the Ardennes is where most of the country's wildlife can be found. The Ardennes have a raw and rugged breathtaking beauty and have a huge attraction to tourists.
