Culture: Belgian culture is divided by the three main communities in the country. The Flemings, the German speaking community and the French speakers. Cultural life varies between each community. The Flemings and the German speakers have a culture that is inclined more towards the Anglo Saxon which is dominated by an interest in sciences, professional life and the news media. The French speakers concentrate more on cultural life in Paris and other French speaking communities. The architecture of Art Nouveau was started in Belgium at the beginning of the 20th century by the Victor Horta. This type of architecture was famed for its interiors which avoided straight lines. Belgian cuisine is considered one of the best in Europe and Belgian chocolate is sold worldwide, the praline was invented in Belgium. Belgian beer is popular throughout the world and there are over 450 kinds of beer sold in the country.
